Surely you remember that famous American TV series "Quantum Leap " in which the protagonist traveling between the amount of time that other people in identifying their location and changing the events of a given time obviously influencing its future.
I've thought several times today while trying to figure out where you can get with the current fields of physics, and if the application will be able not only to theorize, but even to prove the existence of that great "dicer" as defined by Einstein.
Travel in the path of our time with the mind is certainly possible. Some people today assume that outside of our material world and determinism that characterizes there is a universe that the subatomic reality that we live is just one of the possible perceptions of them that we can have and that all possible perceptions or observations of the real part of a sort of cosmic consciousness or universal mind that contains them all. By chance or will we step on that path but the choice is only our supposed deceptively or better only perceived as such. the many possible variations continue to exist but we managed to see just a because the physical structure and our body can not currently perceive a universe otherwise. Virtually we would see, osserveremmo o vivremmo solo quello che scegliamo per caso o volontà di fare ma tutto il resto continuerebbe comunque a coesistere...
Ipotesi interessante che va oltre certo anche le più recenti e ardite conclusioni della fisica quantistica ma che alcune scienziati e/o studiosi abbracciano.
Certo da Einstein in poi le cose sono cambiate molto e il concetto di spazio tempo ha assunto una connotazione diversa: lo spazio tempo è deformabile, estensibile, accorciabile , curvabile.
Con Max Planck e la teoria dei quanti si è andato oltre. Il tempo non è più qualcosa di unitario come noi lo percepiamo ma, esattamente come l'energia e la materia, è composto da quanti di unità indivisibili . Il divenire temporale altro non è che lo spostamento tra quanti attigui di spazio tempo che potrebbero o noi contenere copie di noi stessi. Lo scorrere del tempo rappresenterebbe una illusione ottica. Il tempo e lo spazio prescinderebbero dalla nostra percezione di continuità: come un puzzle infinito coesistono in pezzi indivisibili che noi percepiamo linearmente scorrevoli identificandoli nel passato, presente e nel futuro, in quell'arco definito come vita, come nostra vita nel momento in cui ci troviamo a viaggiare nel percorso dei quanti contenenti nostre copie...
Quante copie di noi stessi coesisterebbero in quel dato momento? Molteplici così come molteplici possono essere le possibilità di verificarsi o di osservazione di un fenomeno. L' impredicibilità sta alla base della fisica quantistica: la possibilità di determinare il valore preciso di una misurazione o di un evento rappresenta una probabilità tra tante e il verificarsi stesso di un fenomeno, data una precisa condizione di partenza, può essere di molteplice natura cioè può portare a diverse e possibili soluzioni. Posso parlare di una determinata distribuzione della probabilità ma non di una probabilità assoluta e unica.
